The Weekend Edition #94

May 23, 2020

Happy weekend! Have you had a good week? I know this is a weekend edition but I’ll be honest, all the days seem the same at the moment. As there’s no difference between weekend and weekday, it can be tricky to know what day it is. I also feel like I’m getting more and more used to be at home as time goes on. I think I am going to find the transition back to going out to work and the usual routine somewhat strange, whenever the time comes. Leaving the house at 7:15AM with two children in tow is stressful; I am not missing doing that!

Finances wise, we are still continuing our No Spend Year and in some ways this is easier than I had ever imagined it would be; simply because I cannot spend money when I’m not going anywhere. Apart from ordering a couple of things online – some new shelves for my office being one – I am avoiding online shopping successfully. It would have been a temptation not so long ago, so I am proud of this. I do plan on ordering a couple of things from some smaller, independent shops when they open. No rush though 🙂

The thing I am most looking forward to in the weekend ahead is my first live workshop! My How To Start Investing workshop is on Tuesday at 8PM and I am so looking forward to having a virtual workshop  with people and helping them start their investing journey. I am going to teach them a step-by-step guide on how to start investing, so that they can do so right away! Plus there will be a work booklet, tracking booklet and unlimited support for them so I am confident about their investing! Did you know you can start with £25 a month and build from there?  There are still some spaces left so if this sounds like your type of thing – then come and join me! I’d love to have you there 🙂

YouTube continues to be a great creative outlet as well, plus I’m starting to gain subscribers over there which makes me smile 🙂 it’s been a big learning curve and there are still so many things I don’t understand but it’s going. The worse thing is having to watch videos back as I edit them – I don’t sound how I think I sound!? But, needs must. In fact, I am loving it so much I’ve got my YouTube content planned until the end of June. Not recorded, but all planned out. Let me tell you – I am NEVER this organised! I’m sure the novelty will wear off soon 😉

5 things I’ve enjoyed/been grateful for this week:

1) Getting out for the day and having a picnic.

2) Homemade millionaires shortbread – yum.

3) Watching my two boys play together nicely with this lego set  – it does happen sometimes!

4) I am now reading this as sent my another money blogger – it’s good so far.

5) Killing Eve – season 3 is good, if a bit gory.

What have you enjoyed reading this week? Any plans for the week ahead? I’d love to hear about it!

I’ve been growing some chilli plants. Something that I never usually have time for (or remember to water), but seeing something grow from seed is quite something. Maybe, if this continues, I’ll start growing something else.
