August Aims

August 1, 2019

Hello August! July seemed like such a strange month in the end, so I’m glad a new one is starting. August is an exciting month for us because Alfie turns 4 during the month! He’s been waiting ages for his birthday as all of his friends at nursery are already 4, so it’s finally his turn 🙂 he’s having a party with some of his friends which he’s so excited about.

I have finally got round to filming more for YouTube – it’s so difficult to find some time when it’s quiet – so that’ll be uploaded later on today. I had never appreciated just how much time must go on behind the scenes when you’re on YouTube a lot; just like a blog I suppose.

August should seem fairly busy as I’m on holiday for the month. So lots of trips out and seeing people 🙂 need to watch the budget carefully! Though I’m not going to be overly strict either; I want them to have fun and make more memories.

My Financial aims for August are:

– Have 15 No Spend Days (NSDs)

– Overpay our mortgage by £185

– Put £600 into savings

I have reduced the NSDs aim for this month purely because I think we’ll be busy.  I will keep it updated in my trusty NSD tracker 🙂  our mortgage overpayment aim will be the same each month from now on. And lastly, a very specific number into savings, which will be the same every month this year, I should think. Plodding along, slowly! Back to normal though which is good 🙂

My Personal Aims for August are:

– enjoy the summer holidays 🙂

– get the Frugal Living Membership Community ready for launch on 1st September (more on this soon!)

The summer holidays seem to go by so fast, and will do even more so now that there’s two children to keep entertained so I just want to enjoy them. And not get too stressed 🙂 and finally, I have talked a bit about this on Instagram Stories but not really mentioned this here – but I’m launching a Frugal Living Membership Community and doors open on 1st September – blog post coming soon 🙂

Here’s to August being great! What are your aims for the month? I’d love to hear them!

🤗 Everything sounds so exciting, can’t wait to find out more about the Frugal living community. Unfortunately I’m not on Instagram . Enjoy you summer holidays and time with your family.
