A Re-Introduction

July 16, 2019

I thought I’d do a little re-introduction post, as I’ve been featured on the BBC Stories page today so have some new visitors to my site – hello! 🙂 I’m Nicola and the owner of The Frugal Cottage, an award winning personal finance blog. Thanks for stopping by!

I’m a 30-something girl living in the North of England, UK. My day job is within the education sector and I live with my lovely husband, two boys and two cats in a house we’re lucky to call home. The main thing that is the focus for our everyday life is outlined in my Ultimate Dream post, which I read regularly to keep the goals in mind. Me and my husband met in 2009, got married in 2012 and bought our first house together at the end of 2012. We managed to save up a good house deposit by making sure our budget was secure and by paying ourselves first. We’re also aiming to pay off our mortgage (sort of) early which will help us in our financial goals.
